Wilderness Experience was founded in 1971, but by the 1990s had disappeared from the market. In 2018 Jim Thomsen, one of the original founders and president from 1971-1983, purchased the trademark and re launched the company. One of the first products available is The Klettersack, one of the best selling and most copied backpacks over the past 40 years.

The production of the Klettersacks (and brief cases and pouches) is complete and ready for shipment to our distribution center. If everything continues to run smooth we will be delivering your pack in September or early October.

I just sent out ALL the surveys. Please complete them as soon as possible! If you did not receive one, please let me know.
The surveys will allow you to choose your color preference for your Klettersack, sizes and colors if your ordered T-Shirts and to enter your shipping address. Production has started on the Klettersacks and we plan to start shipping early September if everything works perfect.
When you fill out your survey you will have the chance to order additional items at the Kickstarter price. (Thanks, we love that!)

We are ready to send out our survey, asking for your color preferences and shipping address. We have to wait 14 days from the end of the campaign (June 30) to receive the final backer list from Kickstarter.
